Getting to Roberts Creek

You can expect that it will take about two hours to travel from downtown Vancouver to Roberts Creek.

The Sunshine Coast (Langdale Ferry Terminal) is a beautiful 40-minute ferry ride from Horseshoe Bay in West Vancouver. Roberts Creek is a 15-minute drive from the Langdale Ferry Terminal.

For guests traveling by car, we strongly recommend that you make a ferry reservation for June 20th, as sailings are very busy in the summer time. Here is the ferry schedule. Any sailing on Saturday up until 1:35PM will get you there in plenty of time.

Coming by bus? Take the 250 or 257 from downtown Vancouver. On the other side, catch the Route 1 bus from Langdale to Roberts Creek (40 minutes), then walk from there (15 minutes).

If you have space in your car, or you’re looking for a ride, please let us know! We’ll do some transportation match-making.

We’ll be getting hitched at 3331 Beach Avenue, Roberts Creek.

The Day!

The wedding ceremony will be at 5:00pm, with cocktail hour and dinner to follow. We won’t be doing a seated dinner, but we promise there will be plenty of food and places to rest your feet when you get tired from dancing.

If you are on the Coast earlier that day, we recommend hanging out in downtown Roberts Creek: you can go to the beach and see the Mandala, have lunch at the Gumboot, and then walk 10 minutes along Beach Ave to our wedding venue.

Where to Stay

The Sunshine Coast is a wonderful place to spend the weekend. We recommend booking your accommodations early as the Coast is a popular tourist destination. Here are some resources for places to stay:

Gibsons and Sechelt also have some great places to stay, a 10- to 15-minute drive down the Sunshine Coast Highway. Let us know if you need recommendations!

If you’re feeling adventurous, there’s plenty of camping at Roberts Creek Provincial Park.

After a few years of cohabitation, we are fortunate to have all the household goods and kitchen gadgets we need. The only gift we really want is to see you at our wedding!

  • Wear flat shoes! If the weather cooperates we’ll be spending time outside, and we want you to be comfortable on the beach and the grass.
  • Make a ferry reservation if you are driving on.
  • Book your accommodation early & let us know if you need some help.
  • Pack sunscreen! June 20th is the longest Saturday of the year and we don’t want you to get burned.
